The Sharpsteen Museum Association was founded to support and maintain Calistoga’s Sharpsteen Museum and Sam Brannan Cottage. The all-volunteer organization not only staffs the history museum, keeping it open to the public seven days a week, but is responsible to the city for its operation as well as the conservation and display of its collection. The Association owns the neighboring Victorian home known as the Museum House, where it maintains offices, a research library, and meeting and work spaces.
You can help support the museum by becoming a member, or by donating to our association. We also welcome docents who can help us by committing just a few hours each month to volunteer. Donations of any amount are always appreciated, and we also appreciate the support of members whom we add to our team through their interest and sponsorship.
