Horseless Carriage Days By BEN SHARPSTEEN

After retiring from Disney Studios and moving to the family property in Calistoga, Ben Sharpsteen took up oil painting (1965-1975) and produced 19 large-format paintings depicting his boyhood memories of the advent of the automobile.

These illustrations were used as covers for the Horseless Carriage Club of America Gazette.

"Historically authentic; accurate in detail; abounding in human interest; and filled with more incidents than first meet the eye- a never ending source of enjoyment in discovery."

11”x17” full color glossy reproductions of these paintings, suitable for framing, are available for purchase exclusively

from the Sharpsteen Museum. Also available laminated, which make great placemats.
